Cora Dance’s Board of Directors presents Tribute Reception: Honoring Founding Artistic Director Shannon Hummel, immediately following the Saturday, October 4 performance of Because, at approximately 8:30 pm, at PAVE Academy Charter School, 732 Henry St., in Red Hook, Brooklyn, NYC.

This new annual event will recognize Cora staff, artists, alumni, and community members who have made significant contributions to the organization’s artistic and community service work. The inaugural 2025 Tribute Reception Honoree is Cora Dance Founding Artistic Director Shannon Hummel, who will be honored for the establishment of Cora Dance Brooklyn and 18 years of education and service work in the Red Hook community.

Tickets are $25–$125 beginning September 1. (Discounted tickets available to Cora Dance students and alumni).
