CDB Enrichment Programs

Cora Dance’s Local Enrichment Program Partnerships offer dance-based programs to a broader population in locations throughout the Red Hook community. Bringing dance to schools, community centers, and public spaces, Cora partners with other organizations to expose all ages to arts enrichment offerings and connect those demonstrating talent, interest, and desire for more serious study with Cora’s Training Programs. Cora has offered ongoing programs throughout Red Hook at PAVE Academy Charter School, PS15/Patrick F. Daly School, and the Red Hook Older Adult Center, and frequently brings open community classes to festivals, celebrations, and community events year-round!

PAVE Enrichment: Cora provides 3 days each week of after-school enrichment in Creative Movement, Hip Hop, and Modern for grades K-8.

PS15 Enrichment: Cora offers weekly after-school Creative Movement for grades 2-4 students, while also rooting SH/CD's Fellowship Initiative, The Welcome Project, within the school community as a weekly class during the school day for the second grade. Weekly bilingual (Spanish/English) classes in storytelling, dance, drumming, singing, and spoken word engage second graders in exploring immigration, home, identity, and belonging through collaborative artistic expression.

Red Hook Older Adult Center Enrichment: Cora offers a weekly Gentle Modern and Yoga class, taking place on Tuesdays from 11am-12pm (open to anyone ages 60+!)
