Vessel — SH/CD’s latest work-in-progress — is a meditation on the quiet, unseen forces that shape us. Vessel unfolds in a field—literal and metaphorical— where life and death, knowing and not knowing, dissolve into one another, asking us how we find peace and fulfillment in times of unrest and absence and what remains when we are gone. Hidden lives carry this world forward, not by spectacle, but by presence, touch, and the willingness to let go, move on, and begin anew.

SH/CD is proud to have received a two-year residency at Richmond Movement Center in Richmond, VA to develop Vessel and revive milestone works from the company’s rep in preparation for its 30th Anniversary in 2027-2028. For more info, click here.
