Stone Soup is a metaphor for the power and positivity created by the community coming together to share what they have and create something wonderful. In Cora Dance Brooklyn’s warmly intimate space, this annual festival of works-in-progress by our students, faculty, and professional company offers a 3-day series of short sneak peeks, shows and workshops throughout the weekend. In 2026, Stone Soup introduces “rewind” events as Cora Dance prepares for celebrating its 30th Anniversary in 2027-2028, bringing back work-in-progress showings of milestone works including COMMON DANCES, Down A Small Road, and performances by Cora Youth Company participants in The Crossroads Project.
