Shannon Hummel and Junie Marsh work in residence at Appomattox Regional Governor’s School for the Arts and Technology (ARGS) and local public middle schools as part of developing The Crossroads Project, a year-long virtual and in-person exchange program between youth dancers in Alleghany County, VA; Petersburg, VA; and Brooklyn, NYC examining the experience of home in their bodies, communities, and shared country. Cora Artistic Director Shannon Hummel and Faculty Member Junie Marsh work with middle and high school dancers throughout the week, to facilitate the creation of original writing, performance, and choreography, guiding youth participants to create original work expressing their perspective on home.
