CAN I BRING FRIENDS?

YES! Everyone is welcome to purchase pay-what-you-can tickets to the show!

WHAT SHOULD MY CHILD WEAR FOR THE PERFORMANCE?

Dancers should arrive on the day of dress rehearsal/performance in solid black leggings/pants and in the shirt of their assigned class color (See the list below for class color. Shirt style may be short sleeve, long sleeve, tank top, or camisole, whatever your child is most comfortable in. No button-down shirts or tops with patterns or large logos). Arrive stage-ready with hair and makeup already done.

Shirt color for each class:

Level 1 - 4:30pm-5:15pm @ YMCA: Shades of yellow

Level 2 - 5:30pm-6:30pm @ YMCA: Shades of blue

Level 3 - 6:45pm-7:45pm @ YMCA: Shades of red

Level 2 - 4:30pm-5:30pm @ CFSOTA: Shades of orange

Level 3 - 5:45pm-6:45pm @ CFSOTA: Shades of purple (darker than lavender)

CYC costume #1: Muted earth tones (example: grey, tan, dark green, navy, taupe, etc.)

CYC costume #2: Flowy dress

HOW SHOULD HAIR AND MAKEUP BE DONE FOR THE SHOW?

Accentuating features and seeing facial expressions are important to performance! Here are the basics:

  • Hair should be pulled back SECURELY off the face with natural color hair ties that "disappear" on stage. Those with dark hair should use dark hair ties, clips, bobby pins etc. Those with blonde hair should wear light ties, clips, etc. so they cannot be seen from the stage. No bright colors or shiny accessories.

  • Makeup accentuates fine features under the harsh lights of the stage. Brown, beige, tan, and rose eyeshadow with brown to black mascara and eyeliner; lip and cheek color that matches lips or is slightly deeper; and foundation that matches skin tone is all that is necessary. No bright colors, sparkles, appliques, or false eyelashes.
