CONGRATULATIONS, DANCERS AND FAMILIES! THAT’S A WRAP on our second year of pay-what-you-can dance intensives and the 2024 CDA Youth Showcase! We are SO proud of what our Cora dancers have accomplished and cannot express how grateful we are to our Cora families for bringing their students to class and supporting them through their journey!

A HUGE thank you to our local businesses, organizations, and individuals for donating their services in support of the 2024 CDA Youth Showcase! Shoutout to Formals and Florals on Main and Jada Callender Photography for supporting our CDA dancers and making this event so special for them! Thank you to the Boys Home of Virginia and Total Action for Progress for their support in transporting students to intensives. Lastly, an enormous thank you to the Historic Masonic Theatre, the Clifton Forge School of the Arts, and the Alleghany Highlands YMCA for sharing their spaces with us since the fall! Our Showcase would not have been possible without them.

Over the past 30 years, I’ve been transformed by the power of dance to bridge gaps and build community. The connections Cora Dance has built have been transformational, and this year, we are putting our bridge-building on overdrive and expanding the Cora Dance ecosystem far and wide. Cora Dance creates transformative dance experiences, addressing the inequities that limit people from bonding deeply with the artform, one another, and their individual artistic potential to build common ground and authentically connect communities.
