2020 - 2021 3C Cora Community Connections Artist-in-Residence Request for Proposals: Application Period Opens

Applications accepted Monday, February 17- Friday, March 13 @ 4pm.

Cora Dance announces its 2nd Annual 3C/Cora Community Connections Residency to provide up to 3 dance and performance-based artists and organizations with engagement opportunities and 150 hours of free space over a year to evolve a process, develop a project and/or cultivate an artistic practice that directly connects with the youth, fellow Cora artists and/or community members living in Red Hook, Brooklyn. Selected 3C Artists-in-Residence take part engagement opportunities including offering episodic workshops, lectures or master classes; engaging as a Youth Company guest artist; presenting informal performances or open rehearsals; and/or participating in forums, conversations and platforms that inform the larger cultural and curricular focus of the organization. Cora seeks to engage artists with new approaches, training and experiences outside those practiced within Cora’s current community, thereby broadening access to a wider range of practices and platforms. Residencies take place from August 1, 2020 through July 15, 2021.
