Step Forward: A partnership between miccio community center, south brooklyn community high school, good shepherd services and cora dance
September 2019-June202, Cora Dance engages in a new Satellite Program titled "Step Forward". A partnership between Cora Dance, Good Shepherd Services, South Brooklyn Community High School and the Miccio Community Center, "Step Forward" brings two weekly Urban Step classes to Miccio after-school students, Grades K-5 - lead by a Cora teaching artist. Classes are assisted by high school "leaders-in-training" from SBCHS's "Learning to Work" program who study additional hours each week with Cora's teachers to develop leadership, mentorship and group-building skills through dance! "Step Forward" is supported in part by a generous grant from NYSCA/New York State Council on the Arts.
With support by Councilmember Carlos Menchaca, Cora Dance is thrilled to announce a new Satellite Partnership Program with PS 676/The Neighborhood School coming this fall! Stay tuned!
