communications and programs manager
Kelsey Kramer is a dancer, choreographer, arts educator and administrator. She moved to New York in 2014 immediately after graduating from James Madison University (JMU) with a BA in Dance and Communication Studies. Kelsey has studied at the American Dance Festival, in China through the JMU Sichuan Dance Project, in the UK through the JMU London Contemporary Dance Intensive, and at the Pushing Progress Winter Intensive. While a member of the Virginia Repertory Dance Company, Kelsey had the pleasure of working with choreographers such as Laurie Eisenhower, Tzveta Kassabova, Ryan Corriston, Scott Putnam, Robin Harris, Donna Costello, Elizabeth Johnson, Jess Burges, Cynthia Thompson, and Shane O’Hara. Her own work has been seen at the Cora Studio Theatre, Dogtown Dance Theatre in Virginia, internationally in China, and was selected for the Gala performance at the 2013 American College Dance Festival. She was the co-director of the Associate Dance Ensemble at James Madison University and a guest choreographer for the Cora Youth Company (CYC). She is currently dancing with Luisa Innisfree Martinez and Shannon Hummel/Cora Dance.
As an arts administrator, Kelsey interned as School Operations Intern at the American Dance Festival, as Public Relations Intern for the Forbes Center for the Performing Arts, and held the position of Public Relations coordinator for Dance Theatre at JMU from 2012-2014. Kelsey held the position of Education Manager for the Cora School for Dance before moving to her current role as Programs and Communications Manager at Shannon Hummel/Cora Dance. Kelsey has been with Cora Dance since July of 2014.
