Cora is equal parts community engagement, outstanding education and professional art-making. Professional company rehearsals are places of experimentation, discovery and growth. The studio work of the professional company, Shannon Hummel/Cora Dance is integral to discovering new approaches to collaboration, creation, performance and enrichment of the artistic work throughout the entire organization. Dancers rehearse weekly, year round to bring Hummel’s choreography to the stage. Donate $25 and pay a dancer for an hour of rehearsal and invest in dance that invites audiences into “poignant, affecting and remarkably assured universes” of professional choreography. (NY Times)

At Cora, we provide exceptional instruction by highly trained dancers and teaching artists who are actively working as professionals throughout NYC and beyond. Donate $75 and ensure children have professional instruction for one of the 30+ teaching hours per week that Cora provides throughout the year.
